eight months.

well, it's official, i missed a month of margot. sorry future margot. alas, life goes on. and now, this lady is eight months old!

a lot has happened in the last two months. about midway through month seven, margot got both of her bottom teeth in one week. and, as jon's finger has discovered, they may be little, but they be sharp. she uses them to deftly devour anything that you put in her mouth. seriously, this kid will eat anything.

she has also figured out dancing (or rather, bobbing from side to side, thanks mee mee), clapping (thanks adam), feeding herself cereal (thanks puffs), and i think she is starting to wave. currently, one of her favorite activities is to chase the kitties around the house in her walker. conan is a very patient friend.

it's crazy how time flies and how much she's grown. tis a super exciting adventure we're all on.

dapper fox.

so i'm delinquent on this kid's seven month post. seven and a half is close to seven, right?

in the meantime, here's a long overdue post on this dapper fox i made for miss margot some time ago.

after i made lilly this sloth, i knew i wanted to make another plush in the same style for margot, so i sketched out this guy.

i made him mostly out of thrifted fabric--a vintage floral shirt, a teal pair of corduroy pants, and a giant orange one hundred percent wool pantsuit (i got a pretty strange look from the cashier with that one). and i even got to make a bow tie.

he turned out pretty swell i think. i still haven't quite figured out how to convert a two dimensional drawing into a three dimensional stuffed animal and get the right aspect ratio. he's a bit more long-and-lean then i planned, but still pretty cute.

and margot seems to like him. all those long limbs are great for chewing on.

six months.

it's hard to believe this little lady has been around for half of a year.

thirteen pounds, ten ounces and twenty five and three-quarters inches long.

and she has the coolest half birthday ever--pi day. which is also pie day. sadly, for her first half birthday, no pie allowed.

so much growing. i think even her hair is longer.

and she has a new skill, sitting!

gosh these moments are all far too fleeting.
