bagels.

i like making things. clearly. and the idea of making things that people don't usually make for themselves intrigues me. thus the bagels. as soon as i saw this recipe for homemade bagels i put it on my to-do list, and today while jon was brewing beer, i finally got around to it.

they were actually incredibly simple to make. they take a lot of time but most of it's just waiting. i couldn't find whole wheat pastry flour so i just used all bread flour. they still turned out awesome. and boiling bread is super fun. mayhaps that means i'll make pretzels sometime.
